How long until it's ready to cook?
About 20 minutes from lighting. Once the coals ash over grey, drop the grate and you're cooking.
What charcoal should I use?
Lump charcoal for hot, fast grilling; briquettes for longer, steadier cooks. The deep bed handles both — most cooks use around 1.5–2kg.
How do I clean it?
Let the coals burn out and cool completely, then slide out the ash and brush the grate while it's still warm.
Does it come assembled?
Mostly. You'll bolt on the legs, shelves and side bench — about 15 minutes with the included tool.
