How long until it's ready to cook?
About 20 minutes from lighting. Once the coals ash over grey, drop the grate and you're cooking.
What charcoal should I use?
Lump charcoal for hot, fast grilling; briquettes for longer, steadier cooks. The deep bed handles both — most cooks use around 1.5–2kg.
How do I clean it?
Let the coals burn out and cool completely, then slide out the ash and brush the grate while it's still warm. The stainless grate is dishwasher-safe if you're feeling fancy.
Does it come assembled?
Mostly. You'll bolt on the legs, shelves and side bench — about 15 minutes with the included tool.
